Back to the Basics

Lately, I’ve made it a goal of mine to find & buy basic pieces to include in my day-to-day wardrobe. Normally, I go for the unique loud pieces which eventually get donated to my local Good Will. Well, I’m tired of seeing my hard earned money get donated just 6 months after buying something. It’s time to get back to the basics!

I believe every woman’s closet should have basic tees, cardigans, a fabulous LBD, jeans, solid dresses, etc. I love being able to wear something with multiple looks and it makes getting dressed fun! I can throw on a loose tank and cardigan for work and then dress it down with some skinny jeans when I get off of work. Totally a win-win! Old Navy has been my go-to for bringing out my basic betch. They always have simple outfits and at a reasonable price!

Anyone that knows me knows that Chuck Taylors are a MUST HAVE in my closet. This outfit is a typical errand running or downtown stroll look that I would throw on.

Word of advice: When doing a photoshoot, double check benches before you sit on them. I totally sat on the one below and fell and busted my ass in front of 25+ people. Talk about embarrassing. #storyofmylife

One of my favorite outside dining areas: Al Fresco in Downtown Pensacola
