Frozen Smoothie Packs

I’m a lover of a good smoothie, but most of the time the smoothies you buy at chain shops are filled with sugar and don’t contain half the nutrients they claim to. Plus, they can cost around $8 a smoothie and have on average 700+ calories. That’s a no go for my daily calorie intake and my wallet.

These smoothie packs check all the boxes for me:

  • Tastes goodAbout 400 calories depending on the fruit used.
  • Friendly on the budget $25 to make 8 smoothie packs if you buy in bulk from your local Sam’s or Costco.
  • Easy to prep – Takes maybe 20 minutes + it’s fun to get your kiddos involved!

The ingredients below is per single smoothie pack. You can switch up the fruits to whatever you like or shop local + add in fruits that are in season.

For each freezer pack, I cut up the fruits into smaller pieces to make it easier to blend. I use the big blender on my Ninja because it’s too much to fit into the single serve cup. This will make about 30 oz of smoothie so enough to fill a big Yeti cup or split up.

WHAT Y’ALL NEED

1 cup water

1 handful of baby spinach

1 medium banana, peeled and cut

1 cup vanilla greek yogurt

1 cup fruit (this can be split with 1/2 cups of different fruits)

1 freezer safe ziplock

*Optional: Add a serving of protein powder. I have used Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder in my coffee for years. It’s good for your hair/skin/nails, digestion, joints + more. Pretty sure this is why I didn’t suffer major postpartum hair loss too!

Because the packs are frozen, you don’t even have to add ice.
