Hello 2017 + happy first blog post of the new year! It’s good to see ya! So I know I’m totally behind on this trend, but I just got the courage to rock some over the knee boots and why not bust them out for a new year?! I bought a couple of pair in early fall and each pair didn’t fit right and made my legs look weird. I finally found these boots and had to have them. I was also sold because they were only $40 (they’re now on sale for only $20). I know “you get what you pay for,” but Target has never done me wrong. These boots are designer quality. Promise you that! Plus, I don’t like spending a fortune on trendy items. Chances are next year I may not even like them as much, but I’ll be thankful I didn’t spend $200+ dollars on them.
I don’t know about y’all, but I feel like the ultimate badass when I wear these boots. I originally got super into the look when my fave beauty blogger, Jaclyn Hill, wore them. So I also feel like I’m channeling my inner Jaclyn Hill when I work them!
I’ve also figured out that I own way too many crimson, merlot, red pieces. I’m so drawn to them when cooler weather comes around and the leaves start to change. So of course, when I saw this boho dress, I just HAD to have it! It was the perfect length to wear with my OTK boots too.

For any of you girls not so sure about whether you can pull off the OTK boots, I dare you to take the risk because I was pleasantly surprised and they give a nice confidence boost. Do you in 2017 + do it well!
