Saying “thank you” matters

Thank you. Two simple words that hold so much value and meaning. And they are two words you can never express too many times. I don’t know anyone that gets tired of hearing those two little words.

I’m a huge advocate for thanking someone. Whether it be as simple as my husband picking up my son from day care or someone helping you out with a project at work…saying THANK YOU is absolutely paramount.

I remember working in the nonprofit sector at the beginning of my public relations career. I would spend endless hours and put in lots of effort into planning an annual fundraiser. The few moments in which I was not thanked for my hard work or told “good job” are still vivid moments in my mind. Probably sounds silly to some of you, but expressing gratitude towards others is a big freaking deal.

Relationships are what will get you far in life. You’ve probably heard the saying “it’s about who you know.” Yep, I 100 percent believe in this. I’ve been able to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships because of simple gestures like sending an old fashioned “thank you” card!

Cards mean way more than email every will to me. You took the time to pick out the card, handwrite the message and go to the store to buy a stamp. WOW! So much effort to say “thank you.” But the act of doing this is something I’ll always remember about someone.

One of my favorite places to get “thank you” cards in from Basic Invite. I’ve used them in the past for wedding invitations and baby shower invitations and have had nothing but the best service and quality products to choose from. I kid you not when I say they have something for every single life event. And unlimited colors…even for the envelopes. Basic Invite has 40 different envelope colors. Say what?! These plaid baby shower invitations and bumble bee baby shower invitations are so freaking cute!

There’s just something so special about receiving a card. Another thing I enjoy about Basic Invite it their ability to send custom samples. You can literally see the invite or card before you commit to buying a bunch of them.

Right now Basic Invite is offering 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51

Basic Invite also offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. Basic Invite offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders.

I actually used this service this past Christmas and it saved me so much time!

And while you’re peeking through the site, these clear business cards are to die for! I’ll definitely be ordering. So chic and unique!

I’ll end with saying THANK YOU! For no particular reason (but also thanks for reading) but mainly because you may need to hear it. You’re living life every day and doing the best you can. Keep doing it and spread the love!
