10 Cleaning Products That Actually Work

One of my favorite things is having a clean smelling home. Ever since having kiddos, I am a freak when it comes to making sure everything is clean. It’s like the nesting from pregnancy never stopped. Not necessarily a bad thing but it certainly has helped me discover the products that actually work.

Two major things matter to me when selecting a product: 1) Does is smell good? I love anything lavender or lemon; 2) Does it work? I’m especially always willing to pay a little more if it’s a natural cleaning product.

Sprayway Glass Cleaner

Legit the very best glass cleaner I have ever used. It’s a foam spray so you can see where it is and it leaves no streaks. The price point is awesome too!

Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray

You’ll never use regular Dawn ever again. I spray this on just about anything like our dog bowls, muffin pans, plates, etc. and the build just rinses right off. I also really love the spray mechanism. So easy to use.

Aunt Fannie’s All Purpose Cleaning Vinegar + Mop Wash

Not only is this a natural cleaning product, but it smells AMAZING! I use this to spray off our kitchen countertops and oven (once cooled down) and it does such a good job. I’m also a big fan of the Aunt Fannie‚Äôs Floor Cleaner Vinegar Wash. Holy moly it smells up your whole house!

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sponge

I really wish I was the inventor of the magic eraser. As a parent with a toddler and dogs that love to touch everything and slobber all over the place, this is a lifesaver for a white cabinet and light walls. I love buying this variety pack because you get a bunch of erasers for a quarter of the price.

Go Clean Co – #BleachPrayLove

I just started following this Canada based cleaning army on Instagram and am now obsessed. These ladies post daily videos of cleaning hacks and they are the most satisfying videos. Anywhere from how to clean our your dishwasher to how to sanitize your smoothie blender, everything they share actually works. I even downloaded their $10 cleaning guide online. Worth it and it supports a small growing business.

Pledge Lemon Enhancing Polish

We have quite a few farmhouse furniture pieces made with wood. This Pledge spray smells good and keeps my wood furniture clean and looking brand new. Highly recommend!

Swiffer Sweeper Wet Mopping Pad

The best mop pads for quick spot mopping and cleaning in between a full mop session. They smell incredible like a mix of lavender and soft smell of vanilla. They work great! I typically use one of these mop pads every 2 days and it keeps everything looking and smelling clean.

Purex Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar & Stain Remover & Pre-treater

Costs less than a $1. This little gem comes from my mom. When she first told me about this bar of soap that could get stains out of just about anything, I laughed. But she was right. You can use this bar soap to pretreat and to get stains out of clothes. It even works on spaghetti sauce!

Dyson V11 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum

Saving the most expensive for last BUT hear me out. Yes, it’s pricey but it’s worth every penny. This is the second Dyson vacuum we have owned and I haven’t found one that works any better. Our previous Dyson we had for 5 years and it still works great. Since we have pups that shed, this is made for pet hair and all of the attachments help me keep the house hair and dirt free. It’s also cordless which is a plus!

These products also make for an awesome housewarming basket for anyone you know who is recently moved in or even great for a teacher.

What are your go to cleaning products? I’m always in the market to try new ones. Drop me a comment below!
